Middlesex County plane crash
MIDDLESEX COUNTY, Va. — One person was killed after a small plane crashed in Middlesex County Thursday afternoon, police said. The Virginia State Police Communications center received a call just after 2:05 p.m. from a citizen who spotted the plane going down. Sgt. Michelle Anaya said troopers found an ultralight aircraft with a person’s body inside just before 2:58 p.m.
Troopers have secured the scene and will resume their investigation in the morning .
Once the medical examiner identifies the victim and next of kin was notified, the victim’s name would be released.
An update will be provided sometime Friday.
