Police ID body found in Lake Anna, no foul play suspected

MINERAL, Va. -- The Louisa Sheriff's Office tells CBS 6 no foul play is suspected in a man’s death after his body was discovered at Lake Anna Tuesday. A landscaping crew found the body on the edge of the large lake, Louisa  Sheriff's investigators said.

The man has identified as 66-year-old Joseph Turner. The body had a gunshot wound to the head, law enforcement sources indicated.

The body was found on the cold side of the lake. The lake is divided into two sides, the cold (or public) side which includes boat launches and a state park and the hot (or private) side which is only accessible to people who live on Lake Anna.
