Richmond, Va. -- High temperatures jumped into the 60s Sunday, making it the warmest day since December 28.  A strong cold front will bring a return to seasonable conditions for Monday as highs stay in the low to mid 40s.

An approaching "clipper" system will push some warmer air into the region Tuesday, producing highs close to 50°.  The cold front with this clipper will pass Tuesday evening with some scattered light rain and snow showers with it.

Behind the front, very cold air will be in place for Wednesday and Wednesday night.  Highs will be in the low and mid 30s and lows will be in the upper teens and lower 20s.  Normal temps for this time of year are highs in the mid/upper 40s and lows in the mid/upper 20s.

Milder air will get back into the area for the end of the week with highs in the 40s to around 50°.  A storm system next weekend should tug colder air in later Sunday into Monday of next week.
