RICHMOND, Va. – A basketball tournament, aimed at raising money for a scholarship fund, will honor the memory of Amiya Moses, a 12-year-old Richmond girl murdered on December 19th. According to an email press release sent to CBS 6, Kele Wright, Amiya’s mother, and K.J. Cook are hosting the tournament. The proceeds of the Amiya Moses Scholarship Basketball Tournament with benefit high school seniors planning to pursue careers in Criminal Justice.
The tournament will be 5-on-5 and co-ed. It is set to happened January 18th between 4:30 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. at Huguenot High School. Those wishing to play or be eligible for the scholarships can use the contact information in the press release below.
