RICHMOND, Va. -- For Mark Holmberg’s month of giving, he wanted to help someone that always helps others and he found that with Timothy at the Ronald McDonald House in Richmond.

Timothy is a special needs caregiver at Richmond house. He got a special surprise when Mark paid him a visit during the CBS 6 Month of Giving.

Mark heard that Timothy was a Dallas Cowboys fan, so he came with a Cowboys football, a hug for the disappointing season, and a $100 gift card.

Timothy helps families unpack and clean at Ronald McDonald House, the non-profit that provides a home away from home for seriously ill children and their families.

“The Ronald McDonald House is part of me,” said Timothy.

He said it is important for him to be there.

“I want to help people out and do the right thing for life, the heart and soul, and Jesus Christ. I can’t do it without God because God is always there,” he added.

All month long, members of the CBS 6 news team will be in the community, helping people through random acts of kindness. We hope those we help will then be inspired to pay it forward. If you've been inspired to pay it forward, click here to share your story.
