Congestion clogs traffic on I-95 north in Hanover County

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — There are some lingering backups because of an earlier accident and congestion along I-95 north in Hanover County Sunday afternoon.

VDOT reported a 4.5-mile backup beginning near mile marker 94 following an earlier crash. All lanes are now open, but drivers should plan for residual delays.

Additionally, there is a nearly 2 mile backup at mile marker 88.5 due to congestion.
