Accident on I-95 south (VDOT)
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Accidents along I-95 south heading into the city snarled traffic Thursday afternoon.
One single-vehicle wreck happened at mile marker 80.6 just before the Bryan Park interchange.
The wreck closed the left lane and shoulder.
A witness tells WTVR CBS 6 an SUV hydroplaned and slammed into the cement median.
Additionally, another wreck along I-95 south in Hanover County near Doswell backed up traffic.
That wreck happened at mile marker 98 and has closed the interstate’s left lane and shoulder.
As of 2:40 p.m., traffic was backed up more than two miles. But by 6 p.m. the lanes had been reopened and the backup was clear.
