Richmond Youth Jazz Guild Holiday Concert & Instrument Drive at Muse Creative Workspace, 6 North 19th Street, Shockoe Bottom, Richmond. Two performances Sunday, December 20, the show at 4pm features the Thelonious Monk and Charlie Parker Ensembles of the Richmond Youth Jazz Guild and the 6pm performance features the Blue Note Ensemble, the advance Richmond Youth Jazz Guild Ensemble.  Any gently used instruments donated during the concert will be repaired and used during free music lessons.

All proceeds will benefit music education and provide free music lessons for the under-served youth in the Richmond metropolitan area and the repair of donated instruments to be used for that purpose. In addition, students receiving free music lessons will be able to have an instrument as they begin their study of music. In keeping with the holiday season’s tradition of giving, Ashby Anderson Enterprises will be providing FREE MUSIC lessons during holiday season.

Since 2008, the Richmond Youth Jazz Guild has been a leader in music education for young people in the Richmond metropolitan area.
