MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota mother air balled a half-court shot that, had it gone in, would have won money to pay half her daughter’s private school tuition. Then something amazing happened. When Angela Ramey’s air ball hit the floor in front of the basketball at Bethany Academy in Bloomington, it bounced high into the air. So high, it went right through the hoop. Watch this video posted on the Bethany Academy Facebook page.

“Angela throws the basketball granny style with her eyes closed, then screams in disbelief when the cheering students and staff convince her she scored,” the school posted. “The Ramey’s won the chance for the half-court/half-tuition prize by being the family who raised the most money during the school’s fundraiser.”

The money the Ramey family won will help pay for next year’s tuition.
