An area of low pressure will track from the deep south through the Commonwealth during Thursday into Thursday night.  We will see occasional rainfall much of the day, and the rain will be heavy at times.  A few thunderstorms are possible, mostly across far southeastern Virginia.

Rainfall amounts will be in the 0.50" to 1.00" range for much of the area.  Isolated heavier amounts will be possible, with the best chance of that occurring over southeastern Virginia.  This will be the heaviest rainfall since we received 1.01" on November 19.

Rain will begin to taper off on Friday.  High pressure will build in for the weekend and provide dry and colder weather.
