Arrest made after victim in Richmond morning shooting dies

RICHMOND, Va. – An arrest has been made in connection to the fatal shooting of a victim who succumbed to his injuries Thursday night.

U.S. Marshals arrested Quinshawn M. Futrell, 19, of the 400 block of W. Duval St.

Futrell is currently charged with malicious wounding, robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a malicious wounding, use of a firearm in a robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:42 a.m., Wed., Dec. 9, in an alley near the 1200 block of Hickory Street.

The victim, Louis R. Bullock, 21, of the 300 block of Avondale Road, Portsmouth, was shot multiple times.

He was taken to a local hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries. He died a day later.
