Ford, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Women’s Gender Sexuality Studies at University of Massachusetts at Amherst, introduced her latest work, ‘Liberated Threads: Black Women, Style, and the Global Politics of Soul.’ Tanisha is an award-winning writer, historian, and public speaker who combines her love of fashion and commitment to social justice to create her own innovative approach to studying the social movements of the 20th and 21st centuries.
