RICHMOND, Va. – Brian McDaniel, who has lived in Richmond for nearly 10  years, got quite a shock late Saturday night. McDaniel lives in the 1200 block of West Moore Street near Virginia Commonwealth University. He was watching television with his girlfriend when bullets shattered windows of his home.

“All of a sudden the guy just walks out and starts shooting his gun,” McDaniel said. “I am pretty sure the bullet is still inside somewhere. The fact that the shots were so low it’s scary.”

McDaniel said the shots were fired by a man who attended a party next door.

“Obviously I’m not happy about it, I wasn’t expecting it to get that out of hand,” the host of the party, who called himself Ben, said.

Ben said the party was meant for twenty-somethings and VCU students and all of a sudden people who weren’t invited started showing up. That’s when a fight happened.

“It’s very easy for it to get out of hand; always be safe, always make sure you know who is coming in and out,” Ben added.

Richmond Police are still searching for a suspect.

Brian would only describe him as an African American male who wore a beanie.
