LOUISA, Va. – A 15-year-old girl threatened to kill the Louisa County High School principal in a threatening note, investigators said.
Students who saw her write the threatening letter turned her in, officials said. Three or four administrators were named in the letter.
Students said they feared for their safety, and a deputy said that's what led to the investigation, and charges.
The School Resource Officer and Administration heard about the threatening letter early on Veteran’s Day.
The teen was taken into custody. She was searched and no weapons were found. Her grandparents and parents said it’s being called a serious threat.
“I think they handled it well, nothing was reported that actually happened,” a parent said. “Threats are going to happen again though.”
“What is the world coming to with the young kids?” Debra Godwin asked. “We used to worry about drugs, now we worry about what they are going to do in school.”
The teen remains at the juvenile detention center until Nov. 21.
