RICHMOND, Va. -- Police say that a teenager and a child who were reportedly lost in South Richmond have been found safe. The 16-year-old Honduran male and his five-year-old cousin disappeared while visiting relatives in the city’s south side Thursday night.

The two were sitting in a car listening to music in front of the family’s home in the 6400 block of Erhart Road  when the teenager drove off with the younger child still in the car, police said. While there was no reason to believe they were in danger, the teen does not speak English and is unfamiliar with Richmond.

They were last seen in a black, four-door, 2007 Pontiac G-6.

There has been no word yet where they were located.

Anyone who may spot a vehicle matching this description was asked to call Richmond Police at 804 646-5100.
