Leaf peeping opportunities beginning to dwindle

Richmond, Va.  -- While we still have parts of eastern and southeastern Virginia not quite at peak colors yet, about the western third of the state has passed peak.  Central Virginia is generally at peak, but there many patches where colors are now past peak.

Gusty winds into Friday will help bring down more leaves across the entire Commonwealth.  If you want to drive around and look at some color, this coming weekend will be a great opportunity with lots of sunshine and chilly temperatures.
