NORFOLK, Va. – Hampton Police apprehended one of Chesterfield Police Department’s Most Wanted after seven years on the run.

A Chesterfield man wanted for multiple sex offense charges against a child was captured in Hampton this morning.

Daniel Soriano Avila, 32, was wanted for multiple sex offense charges against a child.

On Nov. 11, 2008, Avila was charged with several felony offenses in connection to an incident that occurred earlier that same year. He was charged with abduction and kidnapping, four counts of aggravated sexual battery, four counts of indecent liberties with child, and object sexual penetration.

Recently, members of the Richmond based U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force developed information that Avila may be living at an address in the 30 block of Roland Drive in Hampton.

Early Thursday morning, Nov. 12, members of both the Norfolk and Richmond U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces took Avila into custody without incident.
