RICHMOND, Va. -- Friday highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s will be our warmest high temperatures since early October. Richmond will be very close to the record high of 81° from 1975. An approaching cold front will increase the clouds during the day. A couple of scattered showers are possible in the evening north and west of Richmond.

Showers will become much more likely overnight Friday through Saturday as a seasonally strong cold front moves through Virginia. Highs will reach the mid to upper 60s through late morning, and then temperatures will fall during the afternoon. The heaviest and most consistent rain will fall before 2 PM, with only scattered activity thereafter.

Sunday will be dry and much cooler. Highs will be in the 50s, and lows Sunday night into Monday morning will be in the 30s.
