RICHMOND, Va. — Meet a true fighter. Two-year-old Jeremyiah is a young man born with medical concerns and then suffered additional trauma as an infant. On the outside, he appears to be lethargic and non-responsive when awake but something is definitely going on inside.

In spite of several surgeries which he tolerated with no complications, he is slowly gaining weight. He is breathing on his own but some of his other bodily functions are maintained through medical equipment such as being fed through a G-Tube.

Jeremyiah spends a great deal of time sleeping and recently there has been an increase in seizure activity. This little guy requires ongoing medical care (24/7) but all that know him are hoping he will be able to find a family able and willing to give him all of the TLC that he needs.

Therefore, if you are a family who has love for a little fighter and is willing and able to provide the medical attention Jeremyiah needs, he is your guy!

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
