Mountain bikers find body in Forest Hill Park

RICHMOND, Va. — A group of mountain bikers found a man’s body in a wooded section of Forest Hill Park, near the 4200 block of Forest Hill Avenue, Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to the park at about 3 p.m. to investigate.

There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body and no foul play was suspected, according to a Richmond Police spokesperson.

Police have not yet released the man’s name as next of kin was still being notified about the death. The cause and manner of death remained under investigation. Forest Hill Park is located on Forest Hill Avenue in South Richmond.
