CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — If you notice emergency vehicles around Chesterfield Towne Center this Sunday morning, don’t panic its part of an active threat exercise for Chesterfield County.

Several Chesterfield County’s public safety departments are conducting the exercises at the mall Sunday, Nov. 8, from 7 a.m to about 11 a.m.

This exercise will involve elements of Chesterfield County Police and Fire and EMS, as well as Mall Management and Security.

This training allows the involved public safety agencies to coordinate and respond to a simulated active threat situation and evaluate their collaborative response.

The mall will open for business at its regularly scheduled time.
