CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. — A juvenile has been charged with Failure to yield the right of way after the October 30, accident with a Caroline County school bus.

Twenty-eight students were injured during the wreck. Five victims suffered serious injuries and 23 had minor injuries.

Caroline County Sheriff Tony Lippa said a preliminary investigation found a white van driven by a juvenile caused the wreck. Lippa said that driver was pulling out from the student parking lot, when they struck the school bus, which caused it to roll over.

A trial date is unknown at this time but the case will be heard in the Caroline County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court once the petition is served on the driver and parents.
