HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Glen Allen man is facing charges after, police said he attempted to rob a business, before fleeing on foot.
Derek D. Cephas, 42, was charged with one count of attempted robbery.
Police said on Wednesday November 4, at approximately 12:35 p.m., Henrico Police responded to the 5000 block of Lakeside Avenue for a robbery.
The victim stated that a black male approached an open teller window and passed a note demanding money. Before the victim complied, the suspect fled the business.
Officers responding to the scene located the suspect in the vicinity of the business and engaged in a brief foot pursuit which resulted in the suspect being apprehended on Bryan Park Avenue.
Cephas is currently being held in the Henrico County Jail.
