Halloween Hoopla – CMoR Central only, 2626 West Broad Street, 4pm – 8pm, Adults and children are invited to dress in their Halloween best for an evening full of family fun. Tickets required, adults $4, kids admitted free. Spooky Party – CMoR Satellite locations, 10am – 4pm, Short Pump, Chesterfield & Fredericksburg will be hosting a not-so-spooky party on Halloween.  Put on your costume and join us for some Halloween-themed fun and games all day long! 10th annual Harvest Fest Trunk-O-Treats Saturday, October 31st, 5pm – midnight at Powhatan County Fairgrounds, 4042 Anderson Highway (Rt. 60/Midlothian Turnpike). $5 per car load includes, bob fire, live music, hay rides, inflatables, costume contest, haunted house and more , details visit http://www.powhatanfair.org or call 804-240-0391.

Richmond Symphony Halloween Spooktacular, 10am pre-concert festival, 11 am concert. Wear a costume and enjoy music from “Harry Potter, Frozen, Star Wars, Harry Potter and other movies at the LolliPops Series concert,  at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond Centerstage, 600 E. The Great Pumpkin Fest at Planet Snoopy, 14-acre Peanuts themed children’s area through October 31 from 12 – 5 p.m.,  celebrate Halloween with fun family activities and live entertainment. Virginia Union University Athletics in partnership with Charles Talley, Commander of the 11th District, Department of Virginia will salute the Veterans of America when the Panthers host Elizabeth City State University on the final home football game Saturday, at Hovey Field, kick off is 1pm. Tickets $20 for reserved seating and $15 for general admission. There will be a special ceremony at halftime of the VUU-Elizabeth City State game where Virginia Union Athletics will present Brigadier General Mitchell Kilgo with a special award.  All veterans in attendance will also be saluted with the playing of service music.

Learning To Play in Education: Joining the Maker Movement, hosted by The Steward School and featuring Gary Stager, Ph.D. Tuesday, November 10, at the Bryan Innovation Lab on The Steward School campus. The community is invited to participate. The event includes a workshop and Maker Fair from 3:30pm – 5:30pm featuring wind tunnels, catapults, vibrobots, squishy circuits, scratch activities, robotics and more.
