Hormel Foods is recalling 153 cases of Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter spread because some jars may have small metal shavings in them.

Hormel Foods is recalling 153 cases of Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread because small pieces of metal shavings were found in the product during routine cleaning, the company announced Friday on its website.

The company is recalling only 16.3-ounce jars with an expiration date of DEC1416LR1 and a package UPC code of 37600-10500 found on top of the the lid.

The jars of peanut butter had been sent to distribution centers for Publix, Target and Walmart in Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware and Arkansas, the company said.
