Martin’s issues voluntary recall for Herr’s Sour Cream and Onion potato chips

CARLISLE, Pa. — MARTIN’S Food Markets has announced a voluntary recall has been issued for Herr’s Sour Cream and Onion potato chips due to an inadvertent gluten free label.

This product is not gluten free, but safe to consume for individuals who do not suffer from a gluten allergy or intolerance.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to gluten may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. MARTIN’S said it has not received any reports of illnesses to date.

The store said it has removed the chips from their stores.

The following product is included in this recall:

  • Herr’s Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chip, 1.875 oz., UPC 7260000061, with a product code of 122.

Symptoms of food allergies typically appear from within a few minutes to two hours after a person has eaten the food to which he or she is allergic.

MARTIN’S encourages customers who have purchased the product to bring their purchase receipt to their store for a full refund.
