CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Chesterfield police are investigating a single vehicle crash into the infant room of a local preschool.

Police said a car heading south on N. Woolridge Rd. jumped the median, went across two lanes of northbound traffic and slammed into the corner of the Goddard School, located at 130 Walton Park Ln. in Midlothian.

There were no injuries in the crash.

The driver, 24, told CBS 6, he passed out while driving and came to when he hit the school. He said he got into a fight with his girlfriend, had an anxiety attack and blacked out.  He said he is “thankful” everyone is okay and that his three kids weren't in the car at the time of the crash.

This isn't the first time the driver said he's passed out. He said it has happened four other times.

There is some visible damage to the outside of the building, but the car did not penetrate the inside of the school.

The owner of the school says he's already sent an email to parents notifying them of the crash. The school plans to stay open.

There is no word if any charges will be filed at this time. The driver is going to the hospital voluntarily for a mental evaluation after passing out and crashing into school.
