RICHMOND, Va. -- For the second time is as many weeks, Richmond is hosting an event fueled by volunteers.
This weekend it's the Richmond Folk Festival, the 11th annual folk festival for RVA.
It has drawn 1,300 volunteers to the grounds surrounding S. 2nd Street, Tredegar Street and Brown's Island for the 3-day festival of food, music, beer and wine.
So many volunteers signed up, some had to be turned away.
The festival is free but donations are accepted.

The recent UCI bike race drew 3,000 volunteers.
That's two recent reasons for Richmond-area residents to be proud, said longtime festival-goer Ron Froede.
