Westover Church Autumn Pilgrimage House Tour

RICHMOND: Six homes including the Historic Westover Episcopal Church in Charles City are gearing up for the Westover Church Autumn Pilgrimage House Tour,  Saturday, October 10, from 9am - 5pm, rain or shine. The house tour is a major fundraiser for the church and homes featured  are the Berkeley Plantation, built circa 1726, Dancing Point built in 1973, Kimages, built in 1963, Edgewood Plantation, circa 1849, The Glebe, circa 1730, North Bend, circa 1801, Sherwood Forest Plantation home of President John Tyler, circa 1660 with additions through 1845 and Westover Episcopal Church, one of the most historic parishes in the nation  at 402 years old.

In addition to the house and garden tour there will be events in and around Westover during the day featuring the Chickahominy Tribal Dancers at 11am, and the Charles City Spiritual Ensemble at 12:30 in the sanctuary. Advance tickets are $35 and proceeds benefit church operations, Meals on Wheels, No Greater Love, Make a Difference for Seniors and other church charities.
