According to fire officials, the call came in at 12:25 Sunday afternoon for a closet on fire. The fire was sparked by an electrical outlet, according to Lt. Chris Armstrong with Richmond Fire. Crews began battling the fire around 12:30 p.m. and marked it under control just after 12:45.

Two people were in the home when the fire started, but got out safely. Armstrong said both appear to be okay but have been taken to the hospital for observation. They’re being assisted by the Red Cross.
