RICHMOND, Va. — The Richmond Symphony will kick-off its 2015-2016 Rush Hour Series at its new location in Hardywood Park on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The first show will feature Bartók: Divertimento for String Orchestra. Audience members can have a beer and relax at Hardywood while listening to Bartók, Weber and Mozart.

The show will feature the symphony’s prime clarinetist, Jared Davis, and led by Keitaro Harada, the associate conductor. The performance will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Hardywood’s new Tasting Room, according to the Richmond Symphony’s press release.

Davis said he is excited to play the piece at Hardywood. He first examined the piece as a teenager and chose it for its lightheartedness.

Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door one hour before the show, online at richmondsymphony.com or by calling 1-800-514-ETIX. Rush Hour concerts often sell out, so relying on the day of the event may be more risky, according to the press release.
