“We are excited to open our new store in Chesterfield County and to expand our reach in Virginia,” Rick Anicetti, the company’s chief executive officer said. “We look forward to introducing The Fresh Market’s concept of quality, great tasting food, excellent customer service and a distinctive atmosphere to an expanded customer base, and we look forward to offering neighboring communities an inspiring new food shopping experience.”

The 23,000-foot location boasts a bakery churning out 30 different breads and 14 different pies, a meat counter with freshly ground beef, ready-to-serve entrees, fresh seafood delivered to the store multiple times a week, more than 200 imported and domestic cheeses, and a variety of produce, according to the press release.

“Our customers enjoy shopping in an environment that appeals to all the senses, where the smell of freshly brewed coffee and bread right out of the oven, the sound of relaxing music, soft lighting, and the ability to select and taste fresh, high-quality products all work together to create a place where customers are inspired to make every meal extraordinary,” Anicetti said.

The store’s opening will bring around 90 news jobs to Chesterfield County and the company has said it will buy items from local growers. The Fresh Market will also contribute donations to FeedMore regularly, according to the press release.
