Suspected bank robber found in Chesterfield home

PETERSBURG, Va. — With assistance from US Marshalls, Petersburg Police apprehended armed bank robbery suspect, Terrance J. Norfleet, 24, of Chesterfield, Tuesday morning.

Norfleet was the suspect in the robbery of the Bank of Southside Virginia branch at 2703 S. Crater Road in Petersburg on August 26.

Officials apprehended Norfleet at a family member’s home in Chesterfield without incident and he is being held at Riverside Regional Jail.

The suspect in this bank robbery was also linked to a bank robbery at Argent Credit Union branch at 3611 Oxbridge Road on the same day.

No one was injured during either robbery.

The suspect’s charges are not known at this time.
