CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Police and firefighters investigated a suspected methamphetamine lab.

Investigators responded to a home in the 2700 block of Brampton Way, near the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Cogbill Road, just around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The neighborhood is near the Richmond/Chesterfield border, about a block away from a BP gas station.

Law enforcement set up a table to test items taken from the house.

Chesterfield Police said that they executed a search warrant for materials to make methamphetamine.

No hazardous materials were found, police said.

Police said that no charges have been filed at this time and it was not an “active lab.”

The incident remains under investigation.
