RICHMOND, Va. -- Many of the main corridors in downtown Richmond and on the VCU campus will not allow parking during the UCI Road World Championships. From September 19 to September 28, street parking will be scarce, and in some places non-existent, in Richmond.
VCU Police and race organizers put together a parking and transportation plan for people who live and work on the Monroe Park Campus and the MCV campus. VCU Police will hold an informational session on Tuesday, Sept.15 to go over all parking information with the public.
One meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on the Monroe Park Campus University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballroom B and the other session will be at 2 p.m. at MCV, Hermes A. Kontos Medical Sciences Building Auditorium.
According to the parking guidelines, there will be specific parking decks designated for VCU students and employees from September 19 to September 28. You can find a list of the designated parking structures and the VCU/UCI comprehensive parking and transportation plan for the Monroe Park campus here and VCU Health here.
