Hermie Sadler to run XFinity Race in Virginia Lottery Car

Posted

RICHMOND - Emporia native Hermie Sadler is getting back behind the wheel of the Virginia Lottery Toyota for Friday night's Virginia 529 College Savings 250 Xfinity Series race. Sadler has three reasons for jumping back into competition.

First, he is helping promote the Lottery's "Second Chance" scratcher contest. Buy any scratcher ticket from the Virginia Lottery, and if it's not a winner, fill out information on the back for a chance to go to one of NASCAR's signature season ending events later this year.

"We're doing some VIP opportunities at Homestead-Miami Speedway at the end of the season" Sadler explained. "We're going to take some lucky winners to Homestead and also out to Vegas for the NASCAR awards banquet coming up in December."

Sadler is also gaining perspective on how this year's vehicles drive for his primary job as a commentator and reporter for FoxSports1. And it's another chance to race alongside his brother Elliott and in front of family and friends at his hometown track.

Sadler is running with JGL racing and was 22nd fastest in Thursday's only Xfinity Series practice.
