FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The left lane of I-95 south is now open after an earlier accident closed all southbound lanes in Fredericksburg. The multiple vehicle crash happened at mile marker 132 near the Virginia Welcome Center and Rest Area, according to VDOT.
Traffic is backed up five miles leading up to the crash scene.
Southbound traffic was being diverted off I-95 southbound at exit 133/Falmouth. Drivers used Route 17 Business to reach Route 1 southbound, which is the alternate route for I-95. No re-opening time was immediately available.
