RICHMOND: Wine & Beer Classic at Maymont, a farewell to summer party presented by the Dooley Noted Society the annual Wine & Beer Classic, is Friday, September 11th, from 7pm - 10:30pm. Sample Virginia's brews and wines along with bourbon and moonshine tastings and live music by Big Mana Shakes. Games and food available. Festivities also include open cornhole play and other games for a chance to win prizes. (Additional fees apply for games; all proceeds benefit Maymont). Food and dessert will be available for purchase from Slideways Mobile Bistro and King of Pops. New this year, Road Runner Running Store will host a fun run prior to the event. Beginning at the Children’s Farm, the three-mile loop goes to the Road Runner store in Carytown, then back to the event. The run begins at 6:30pm and includes a prize for the first 50 to register. Participation in the free run is open only to Wine & Beer Classic ticket holders.
The event is sponsored by Shurm Homes, Schwarzchild Jewelers and Total Printing Company. Tickets are $35 per person; $30 for Dooley Noted Society members; and $15 for designated drivers.
