PLEASANT HILL, North Carolina -- A Richmond-bound Amtrak train collided with a truck at the North Carolina-Virginia state line at about 12:52 p.m. Thursday, according to Amtrak.  None of the 267 train passengers nor crew members were hurt.

Train 80, the Carolinian, travels from Charlotte to New You City each day. It was scheduled to arrive in Richmond's Staples Mill station at 2:05 p.m. It will be delayed about two hours.

"We weren't going very fast,"passenger Wilma Conway told WRAL via telephone. "Right along side of us is 'Welcome to Virginia,' so the train is straddling Virginia and North Carolina."

No one in the truck was hurt. The investigation into the incident was on-going.
