There is one three-letter word successful people never use at work, according to Business Insider.
Experts told the publication workers should avoid using the word “try” because it can be a “career killer.”
That’s because “try” implies you might not actually get the job done. In fact, if your boss asks you to take on additional responsibilities or step up a deadline on a project, do not say “I’ll try,” since it does not build your boss’ confidence in you.
Instead, experts suggest being more affirmative by using “will do” or “I will.”
And if there’s a legitimate reason why you cannot complete the assignment on time, ask for a deadline extension.
