NOTTOWAY COUNTY, Va. -- The water main break in Crewe that closed schools early in Nottoway County Thursday has been repaired.
"As a result, school will resume tomorrow. However, remember tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 4th is an early dismissal day. Students will be released at 12:30 p.m.,"officials posted on the school district's Facebook page.
Classes were dismissed at 11:30 a.m. after an aging water main reptured in Crewe's East End.
Officials said some residents might be without water for about five or six hours and asked folks to conserve water until the line was fixed.
This is already the third week of school for Nottoway students. The first day of school was Aug. 17.
