General Mills recalls some frozen green beans over Listeria fears

MINNEAPOLIS --  General Mills announced a recall for a limited amount of frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans after a package tested positive for Listeria.

The company said the recall product was produce over two days in March 2014, and the Class I recall is a precaution.

The voluntary recall is limited to 10-oz bags of frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans with either of the follow "Better If Used By" dates printed on the package:

  • 10APR2016
  • 11APR1016

The Cascadian Farm frozen cut green beans were distributed to stores nationwide.

No related illnesses have been reported in connection with this product.

Consumers are urged to dispose of the products affected by this recall. Consumers who have products covered by this recall may contact Cascadian Farm Consumer Relations at 1-800-624-4123 for a replacement.
