TAMPA, Fla. — The 21-year-old Florida State University student accused of murdering her mother and step-father told a witness screaming voices in her head gave her the idea to kill the couple, according to a report from WTSP. Nicole Nachtman’s step-father was Robert Dienes. Dienes, 67, served as an Auxiliary Police Officer with Chesterfield Police from August 2000 until January 2013, according to a Chesterfield Police spokeswoman.
Nachtman drove from Florida State University to her home in Tampa on August 20 where she shot and killed Dienes, according to court documents. She then waited at the home for her mother to return the next day. After an argument, Nachtman shot and killed her mother, 56-year-old Myriam Dienes, the documents indicated.
Police later tracked Nachtman down at Florida State University and charged her with first-degree murder. She was arrested Friday, August 21 and is being held without bond.
