2 teens, 1 adult face attempted murder charges after firing at teen’s car

CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Attempted murder charges have been filed against three people after a teen was shot at while driving in the 9900 block of Stroud Lane, Wednesday afternoon.

Three suspects were taken into custody after planes and K-9 units tracked them down. Police responded to the 9900 block of Stroud Lane. This is a few blocks away from Courthouse and Reams Road.

The adult suspect, Raymond C. Scott Jr., age 21, of the 6200 block of Hunderstand Lane, was charged with numerous crimes.

He was charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, shooting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, conspiracy to violate the drug control act, and possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

One juvenile male suspect, age 16 was charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a minor, shooting into an occupied vehicle, robbery, and malicious wounding.

The car glass shattered when fired upon and the teen was injured by glass.

The second juvenile male, age 16 was charged with attempted murder.

Police said the teenage victim was driving down a side lane area when two suspects opened fire on the car, according to police on scene. At least one of whom is known to him.

A bullet hit the car, but not the teenager. Glass shattered and hit in the teen in the face. He was checked out on scene and released.

Chesterfield Police are continuing their investigation and more charges are possible they said.
