Undersheriff Chris DeHart in Powhatan is described as being patient and caring, a person who watches out for the people of the county.
Trooper Kyle DeHart is described as dedicated, a person who has an ability to put others before himself.
The people who nominated these 'Heroes Among Us' say these brave men are extraordinary because they put their lives on the line each day.
