RICHMOND, Va. – Officials said a man is safe after he got lost along the James River at Pony Pasture Sunday night.
Rescuers responded to an emergency call near Pony Pasture in the 7400 block of Riverside Drive around 9 p.m.
Richmond police told WTVR CBS 6 that the man they rescued was not in distress, but had gotten lost along the rocks and ended up on the other side of the river.
A Virginia State Police helicopter aided in the search.
