HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Interstate 64 has reopened after a fiery motorcycle wreck brought traffic to a standstill on the interstate in eastern Henrico County Saturday night.
VDOT reported all lanes of I-64 west were closed as of 9:54 p.m. near mile marker 200, which is not far from the entrance to I-295.
As of 10:30 p.m., traffic was backed up more than six miles. Shortly after all lanes reopened.
Police told WTVR CBS 6 the biker crashed the motorcycle and then took off on foot. Investigators think they may have tracked down the driver at an area hospital.
