A cold front pushed southward through the state Wednesday afternoon. Although it dropped the humidity a little bit, it did nothing to cool the area off. Most locations broke 90°.
An area of low pressure will ride along the cold front Thursday into Friday. This will bring increased chances of rain to the area, especially later in the day on Thursday. Rain will be heavy at times with some thunder possible.
Rain will begin to decrease across the area late Friday, with any leftover showers exiting to the east Saturday morning. The moderate humidity levels will allow the showers and storms to produce heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals of 1" will be possible, but there is the potential for some isolated 2" amounts.
Another system will bring a decent chance of showers and storms on Tuesday.
