CHESTER, Va. -- Two accidents involving overturned tractor trailers closed two highway ramps in Central Virginia Wednesday morning.
An overturned tractor trailer hauling trash closed the ramp from westbound Route 10 to Interstate 95 north (exit 61) in Chester for several hours. The ramp reopened at about 12 p.m. There was no word yet what caused the truck to crash or if the driver was injured.
A truck carrying 43,000 pounds of condensed plastic bottles overturned on the ramp from Interstate 64 west to Interstate 295 south (exit 200) at about 7:20 a.m. That ramp reopened at about 10 a.m.
