Police hope to ID person of interest in fatal Midlothian Turnpike shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police released photos of a man considered a person of interest in a fatal Midlothian Turnpike shooting. Sylvester Nichols, 24, of Glenway Drive, was shot outside a Family Dollar store in the 6500 block of Midlothian Turnpike the afternoon of May 7. Nichols was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Images captured at a convenience store showed a man police now consider  a person of interest in the shooting.

Police described the man as about five feet, eight inches tall.
